Steps to reproduce:

at shell prompt, run: thunderbird-beta

Actual results:

got the following errors:

[GFX1-]: glxtest: X error, error_code=1, request_code=155, minor_code=1
[GFX1-]: glxtest: process failed (exited with status 1)

Expected results:

I expected no glxtest errors, which I could do by applying a shell option:

LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 thunderbird-beta
