User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016

The installers for Mozilla version 1.0.1 and 1.1 fail to install. I get as far
as selecting the directory and what I want to install, but the installer quits
out at the beginning of the installation process. However, version 1.2b worked
just fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download desired installer version.
2.Run the exe and deselect Mail&Newsgroups and Chatzilla
3.Select "next" to begin installation.

Actual Results:
The browser fails to install and crashes out during installation.

Expected Results:
The browser should have installed and been able to run upon completion.
Run the install in compatibility mode or uninstall WinXP sp1

I did try and search for the bug but was unable to locate it. I must not have
used the correct key words, or perhaps I simply missed it.

At any rate, thanks for the immediate response.
Unless you include them explicitly RESOLVED bugs don't show up in queries --
thus the rule about trying the very latest builds before filing bugs.
Oh ok, thats good to know. 1.2b worked fine for me, its just that I wanted to
use the more potentially stable 1.1.

Anyhow, sorry for the dup and thanks again for the prompt responses. I will be
more thorough in searching for previously listed bugs in the future.
