Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:101.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/101.0
Steps to reproduce:
I login and save something to pocket.
I don't use pocket for a few weeks. I have not yet been able to trace it exactly but I believe it's one of two things.
- Pocket logs me out if I don't use it for a few weeks.
- It logs me out after every firefox update? I'll check if this is the case when 102 is released.
Pocket logs me out.
Actual results:
Pocket keeps logging me out of my account of my account.
Expected results:
This is infuriating and annoys me very much. There is no reason on the freaking planet this should be logging me out unless I explicitly choose to do so.
I don't use it often enough but I do use it and every single time I need to save something quickly, I have to go through the process of logging in again.
Adding insult to injury is the annoying Google captcha used by Pocket which takes quite literally 5 minutes to solve.
This should not be logging me out ever unless I chose to logout.

I tried selecting Pocket
as the product but there they only have 3 options. Android app, iOS app and getpocket.com.
I hope firefox is the correct product category for this?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Pocket' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Yeah, this should not be happening. Sorry this is happening to you, must be frustrating.
Some things I can think of that is worth eliminating or checking, that might help us narrow down what's causing the issue.
- Logging in while in private browsing might be causing unexpected issues, so if you don't often or ever use private browsing, we can rule this out. Could also be a privacy setting that's somehow causing the issue. For what it's worth, it's not normal for private browsing or privacy settings to cause this, but it's worth ruling out.
- On the log in page, do you log in with email, Firefox, Apple, or Google?
- When it logs you out, I assume it is also logging you out from getpocket.com, and not just the panels in the Firefox button? This rules out Firefox specific issues, or issues with getpocket.com itself.
- Might also be worth testing out a new pocket account or new Firefox profile, and see if it still happens.

I have always logged in in normal browsing mode and use the extension mostly in normal browsing mode.

I use Firefox login or my pocket credentials

I have not paid attention to this yet. I mostly use the Extension and the ios/android apps but I'll make sure to check if/when this happens again.
Might also be worth testing out a new pocket account or new Firefox profile, and see if it still happens.
I have tested it in a fresh profile(no extensions except for the pocket integration) in the past(back when I created this issue) and I was able to replicate it but this still used by personal account. I'll create a fresh profile again and a new pocket account and check if it does this again.
