can freetype be integrated into phoenix for windows versions ?
Or would it be too much of an effort ?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Use of freetype library for font display could deliver some serious benefits
for phoenix, besides anti-aliased fonts.
1. faster rendering of fonts.
2. better font display.
3. better control.
won't this help phoenix to be faster ?
/* for the fresh to freetype I refer you to www.freetype.org
The linux guys already enjoying this cool library. */

This seams like a very big change that would probably need to happen in Mozilla
itself. Reassigning to Mozilla.
Component: General → Layout: Fonts and Text
Product: Phoenix → Browser
Version: unspecified → other

over to bstell, who seems to own most of the open freetype bugs. Could you
either confirm this, if it's a valid (if distant) RFE, or mark it INVALID if
it's not going to happen?

This would be a big project.
As far as I know this is not on anyone's radar and without someone being really
interested in this it won't happen or be maintained.

->nobody, then. If you can find anyone willing to do this, they can always
reassign to themselves.
