This is a "nice to have" requested by design. When the MR new user onboarding 50-50 template is displayed on screens below 800px, the left panel shrinks and is stacked on top of the right. It would be helpful for design to be able to configure the position of the cropped background image in this state.

I have verified this enhancement and I can confirm that if the "about:welcome" page is displayed on screens below 800px a cropped portion of the background image is displayed on the top of the right screen.
Verified using the latest Firefox Nightly (105.0a1 Build ID - 20220817190533) installed on Windows 10 x64, macOS 11.6.5, and Linux Mint 20.2 x64.
