External URLs from some sources don't open on version 103.0b1 and up

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:104.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/104.0
Steps to reproduce:
Updated from 102.0b9 to 103.0b1 (or any newer version)
Actual results:
URLs in most 3rd-party programs don't open in Firefox anymore. For example, a .URL file will open through Explorer but not through the program Everything, and hyperlinks in the programs Stickies and Open Office don't open as well, but ones in EditPad Lite do open.
Expected results:
The links should have opened in Firefox as they did in version 102.0b9 and down

Hi :guy, thanks for reporting this bug. Bug 1778267 was addressed in 103 via reverting the change that introduced the regression.
The next beta build 103.0b6 build starts at 21:00 UTC 2022-07-07, and the update will be available a couple of hours later.
