Details

seen on mozilla windows build 2002-10-31-04-trunk -use the stub installer to install the build the installation reopeated fails to finish downloading files with an error about too many network errors. using the the blob installer works fine.
Of course the blob works fine in this case, it doesn't download anything from the network. http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=all&branch=HEAD&branchtype=match&dir=mozilla%2Fxpinstall&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=30&date=explicit&mindate=10%2F30%2F2002+00%3A00%3A00&maxdate=10%2F31%2F2002+08%3A00%3A00&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot shows no one changed anything in the installer so you've got several build/config options to choose from: - xpis didn't get uploaded - server or network is having problems - someone changed (or didn't change) the URL in the build scripts Retry an older build -- whether that has problems or not can rule out machine or networking problems.

automation and/or ftp server issue -> leaf
be interesting to hear if one of the respins works. I suspect this is due to network overload as mozilla.org prepares to move stage.mozilla.org and will resolve itself later today without any intervention once the rsync is complete.
I tested this yesterday with the 2002-11-04-08-trunk build and the stub installer worked fine.
