It looks like the test failure is occurring because the onPause event to simulate the application going to the background is occurring slower than the JS request for the location sometimes.

In the non-intermittent runs, the location request occurs during/right after onPause occurs, which is expected. The JS location request in the intermittent failure happens just before the application fully goes to the background, so the location request is able to resolve too quickly and the test fails.

Will look into how to increase the time between onPause and the JS request (could add a small wait to the JS request itself).

This intermittent also seems to only mostly occur in fission test runs.

Edit: Noticed one non-fission intermittent in the logs.

Attachment: Bug 1777405 - GeckoView Intermittent in GeolocationTest onPause

In some test runs, the onPause Android Lifecycle event is not occuring
in the GeckoView test GeolocationTest.

Increasing the time between calling an onPause event (going Home)
and the onResume event (returning to app) will give the device more
time to complete the onPause event and return the expected results.
