Steps to reproduce:

Sending an email seems to work, but no entry of this mail in the sent folder

Actual results:

If i search for the subject or content of this mail, an entry is shown in results

Expected results:

email would be visible in sent folder

Do you know which folder is the sent mail put into? From your search result, right click, select "Open Message in Containing Folder".

Can you check the Sent folder in your account setting? Like in bug 1773511 comment 3.

Ping Chen - Thanks for the hint!
Thunderbird - by itself - created a new "local folder" account in the left tree and put the sent e-mail there.
I can't explain why, but the e-mail was sent from one of the accounts above.

Of course, it is possible that the "local folder" already existed before and the sent e-mail was only stored there.

I checked your link hint to [bug 1773511 comment 3.]
in the account the copies & folder settings for this mail account was changed to "local folder" - wasnt me...

Changes this to the right account shows the message:

[ A possible problem has been detected in the junk settings of the "x@y.z" account. ]
[ Do you want to check them before saving the account settings? ]

I confirm with [yes] and now it seems to work as aspected

Mails are now again under sent for this account.

Thanks for the help - problem can be closed

Thanks for confirming.
