Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0

Steps to reproduce:

Move a tab from one window into another.

Actual results:

My screen freezes. Nothing on screen can be interacted with, but I can still move my mouse and audio continues playing. According to logs I gave to X.org developers, they don't show anything wrong happening with the X server. The only way to fix this is to go into a virtual console and kill Firefox, which restores screen functionality. I have reproduced this on both Cinnamon and KDE. It usually takes around 20 tries to freeze as it doesn't happen every time, but it seems to happen more frequently in private tabs.

Expected results:

It should not have frozen my screen.

This bug is also affecting me, and It's happened on several different machines. Happens on Intel, AMD, and Nvidia graphics. All machines are running X11 and KDE. Merging tabs will sometimes cause Firefox to freeze the entire desktop and I have to switch to a different TTY and kill Firefox. Once firefox is killed the desktop is no longer frozen.
