Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Steps to reproduce:
Try to search in page. This differs from bug 1605575 but similar instructions work.
-
Open Findbar (Cmd+F or Ctrl+F).
-
Type "Black hole" in findbar.
-
Turn on "Highlight All".
-
Repeatedly click Cmd+G or Next button in findbar.
Actual results:
Sometimes one result seems to flash back-and-forth between the highlight colors. Most often in the sentance "David Finkelstein, in 1958, first published the interpretation of "black hole" as a region of space from which nothing can escape."
Unlike bug 1605575 this doesn't have all the results flash in unison.
I have tried recording this, but the apparent repeated flashing in the original isn't in the recording.
Expected results:
No flashing, it's a migraine trigger.
I've tried mozregression, but it's too erratic to get a good fix, and too painful to keep trying.
Try 1: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D151369
Try 2, starting July 6th: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D151224
It may vary with click speed, etc.
