Sonja, when did this start happening?  How many times have you seen it?  I saw
the failure today, but haven't noticed it before.

The DES code hasn't changed in a long time, and I think we've been testing on
that machine (hbombaix64) for quite a while.  Did it recently get upgraded, or a
new compiler, or something?

No upgrades, no patches that I know of. I am not certain if I saw failures like
this before. Messages on this machine seem to be turned off, we have nobody here
that knows anything about AIX, and no support contract.

We are dropping support for the AIX 4.3, builds will stop as soon as we have a
NSPR 4.2.3 or 4.3 that works for AIX 5.1, so we should just keep the bug open
and watch for a while if it occurs again.

Is the bug still being seen? 
If not, when was it last seen?

Not to my knowledge. As far as I can recall, all of the AIX
problems went away when the machine was patched.
(I do not recall the patch id number.)
