Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:103.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/103.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Open youtube.com
  3. Click any video on the front page
  4. Press the green button in the top left of the Firefox window to enter fullscreen
  5. Press the PiP button in the playing video

Actual results:

The PiP video opened and took up the entire screen, blocking everything behind it (including on a fresh new profile with no changes).

macOS 12.5, did not test Windows/Linux

First found this issue in Firefox 103, then I tested Nightly (build ID 20220726094428) and it also had the issue.

Expected results:

The PiP video opens in a smaller window and floats above the currently opened window, as it did before Firefox 103.
