Steps to reproduce:
Try to open https://www.shredderchess.com/download/div/uci.zip with Firefox in order to bookmark it.
Actual results:
Browser won't show star button for bookmarking.
Silent download without options to bookmark anything during download or afterwards...
Expected results:
Browser should have usual star button for bookmarks where URL is.
Browser can have additional buttons for bookmarks in downloads.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

What is the use case for being able to bookmark the link? Why do you need to be able to bookmark the download?
Also can you not bookmark the original link that you clicked to get the download?

In addition to my previous comment suggesting that you can bookmark the link, the alternative is to use the history sidebar or the history view in the library window to bookmark the download.
We don't feel that we need to add an explicit option for this.
Browser should have usual star button for bookmarks where URL is.
