Single Window

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enable session restoration
  2. Open a window (and optionally navigate to a website or open a new tab)
  3. Minimize the window
  4. Quit Firefox
  5. Re-launch Firefox

Expected Result

The restored window is minimized, since restored windows “remember” whether or not they were minimized in macOS. E.g. TextEdit, Safari, Discord, iTerm

Actual Result

The restored window is not minimized

Multi-Window

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enable session restoration
  2. Open a window and navigate to a website. This is Window A.
  3. Open another window and navigate to a different website. This is Window B.
  4. Minimize Window B
  5. Quit Firefox
  6. Re-launch Firefox

Expected Result

The restored Window A has the focus. The restored Window B is minimized, since restored windows “remember” whether or not they were minimized in macOS. E.g. TextEdit, Safari, Discord, iTerm

Actual Result

The restored Window A is not minimized, but neither is Window B. Window B actually has the focus and covers Window A.

Summary: Minimized windows are not restored minimized → Minimized windows are not restored minimized in macOS
