Details

Having an animated image in the new tab page is visually rather annoying. When I saw Pocket recommendation animating, I just had to disable the whole feature.

Could we disable animations on the recommendations?

I agree, that is annoying. It is not intended to have gifs displayed on newtab and when it happens it was an error.

If it happens again you can report the article with the gif and we can fix it.
