User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:103.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/103.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Modify an existing contact with at least 5 attributes and no note
- Click on "add a note"
- Start typing in the text box
Actual results:
The screen of the Adress Book window goes up (not to much, the note text box is still visible). Only the half of the windows is visible / useful.
Expected results:
Edit the note without any movement of the screen :)

Thanks JoPat. However, this works for me on TB 102.5.0 (64-bit), Win10 (reported against Linux).
- Started out with a pretty prefilled contact without a note.
- Even tried to scroll away the focused notes field and then press Enter while the
Add note
link is completely or partially hidden, or with pre-filled notes (1 line). - Thunderbird would just ensure that the entire notes field (couple of lines high) is visible, but no weird empty areas as in screenshot of attachment 9287890 [details].
Richard, are you seeing (on Linux) large empty areas as in screenshot above after adding a notes field whose link was a bit hidden at lower end?
JoPat, have you tried
- using original install from thunderbird.net?
- does problem occur with
≡ > Help > Troubleshoot Mode…
?
If anyone can still reproduce this, please reopen this bug and provide details (OS/TB version, contact data etc).
Yes it's now working for me too on TB 102.5.0 on Debian! Thanks for your answer
