Note
- When the user uses the autocomplete drop-down, he might notice that it is cut off, not showing the information on the right or bottom.
** Found in**
- Beta v104.0b4
Affected versions
- Beta v104.0b4
Affected platforms
- Ubuntu 22
- may also repro in Windows 10, but a scrollbar appears in the drop-down.
- apparently not reproducible on Mac OS.
Steps to reproduce
- Change the following prefs:
extensions.formautofill.available: on
browser.search.region: US - Go to browser Options, Privacy and Security section, Forms & Autofill section, click the "Saved Addresses..." button and add 1 or 2 address forms ( in "Country or Region" drop-down select United States ).
- Load https://luke-chang.github.io/autofill-demo/basic.html
- Make the autocomplete drop-down show up (either by mouse or keyboard).
Expected result
- The drop-down is properly displayed.
Actual result
- The drop-down is SOMETIMES cut off, either the right side or the bottom.
Regression range
- will investigate asap.
Additional notes
- This issue may also be seen on Windows 10, also intermittently. It appears not to be related to bug 1383744 because it occurs with 3 addresses.
- It appears to reproduce more easily on the fields where the autocomplete options are short, but it also reproduces on other fields.

Daniel, can you let us know your monitor setup? 2K/4K? What DPI setting and scaling are you using? Does zooming in or out in browser affects failure rate?
Can you attach information from about:support as well? Thank you!

I have 2 monitors Dell P2419H 1.920 x 1.080 (1K) on 60 Hz set on 100% scaling. Zooming in/out does not seem to influence the reproduction of the issue, however, refreshing the page and immediately opening the autocomplete drop-down DOES seem to reproduce it, at a higher rate.
Moreover, after completing a Preliminary testing run of Form Autofill + Autocomplete, I can say that the issue does not really occur in real case scenarios, or, a user is not likely to refresh the form page very often.
It has also reproduced in Firefox Release v103.0.1 so it is not a regression of the latest refactor to Gecko work.
