Check Firefox View on your existing window, it will likely have a few tabs in the "Recently closed" section.

Now open a new window, that section will be empty, and say

Reopen pages you’ve closed on this device.

No recently closed pages

But there were closed pages on the device, just not on this window.

Marking as enhancement, since this might be a known compromise.

The "on this device" is supposed to contrast with the tab pickup (sync) which says "Open pages from other devices."

Last I checked there was no appetite to change this string.

Ray, can you clarify what you'd like to see happen here?

Flags: needinfo?(rfambro)

This is expected behavior. "The Recently closed" section only reflects previously closed tabs in that particular window. This might be something that we revisit later if we observe enough user confusion around it. Let's keep the Copy as is per the thread we had on this issue in Slack.
