Details
Build 1999110108M11: Win32/NT4, Linux/Redhat 6.0, Mac 8.5.1
Overview: In the Account Settings dialog type a path to a signature file and OK.
Then delete the path to the signature file and OK. Notice that the entry still
remains.
Step to reproduce:
1. Select Edit/Account Setup to launch Account Settings
2. For the "Attach this signature" text box type the path to a signature file
and OK. (i.e. d:\sig.txt)
3. Launch Account Settings again and delete the path to the signature file and
OK.
4. Launch Account Settings again
Actual Results: Notice that the path to the signature file remains
(i.e. d:\sig.txt)
Expected Results: The path to the signature file should not display. The text
box should be blank.
Additional Information:
1. NT4 and Mac: If I change the file name then it saves the changes.
(i.e. NT4: changes from d:\sig.txt to d:\pie.txt)
(i.e. Mac: changes from NbacaMac1:sig.txt to NbacaMac1:pie.txt)
2. NT4 and Mac: If I delete everything except the drive reference then it saves
the changes
(i.e. NT4: d:\sig.txt to d:\)
(i.e. Mac: NbacaMac1:sig.txt to NbacaMac1:)
3. Linux: After deleting the path and launching Account Settings again it
appears that the path is deleted. But, after restarting the entire program I
find similar results as NT4 and Mac:
- Changing the file name (i.e. u/nbaca/sig.txt to /u/nbaca/pie.txt)
- Deleted everything except the drive reference i.e. /u/nbaca/sig.txt to
/u/nbaca/)

Hrm, that's a little annoying...but since the signature UI will eventually be
changing after beta 1 to a cool signature editing UI, I think this is worth
leaving for Beta 1 with this minor quirk. The user can just uncheck the checkbox
next to it to stop attaching signatures.
