Did you accidentally enable the quick filter and filter on unread perhaps?

Well, afasics, selecting unread from Quick Filter Bar would only show unread, but reporter claims that only read messages are shown.
Seems like we no longer allow negated quick filters, not sure if we ever had that?

Olaf, I've undergone the same update and everything's fine here, still seeing read and unread messages as before.

Please be respectful. Seems like your email client has done the job well so far, and you've only just noticed what you believe is a flaw.
- Have you tried Thunderbird support ?
- What's your OS?
- Does this happen with
≡ > Help > Troubleshoot Mode…? - Can you provide a screenshot after blacking out private data using image editor?
Attach New Filebutton above comment 0 - Are you saying that unread messages are totally missing from the list? Or they are still in the list, but unexpectedly all marked as
read?

No, definitely not.

Sorry about that, I was just too angry about a missing basic functionality.
As a matter of fact, I started TB today and everything worked as expected. Could it be that this happened because of updating by selecting help -> about and restarting?

I guess we'll never know. Good it's working.
