User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:103.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/103.0

Steps to reproduce:

Windows 10 Pro, Thunderbird portable 32 bit 102.1.2. I created a new Gmail-account (pop3) whose messages are saved in the global inbox; this setting is saved. Now I want this account to be included when fetching messages and check the corresponding box in the server settings/advanced of the account.

Actual results:

If I then close the advanced account settings and then open it again, the checkmark is no longer checked, which means the setting cannot be saved. Manually retrieving messages works.

Expected results:

I want the setting to be saved.

Which exact setting are you referring to? "Check for new messages at startup"?

No, I check the mails manually. I mean this setting:
Tools / Account Settings / ACCOUNT NAME / Server Settings / Advanced / "Include this server when getting new mail".
Please excuse the inaccurate information, but I am using the German version and had to install the English version to get an exact path.

Thanks I tried that now. Works for me.

Summary: New account - server settings/advanced not saved → global inbox - "Include this server when getting new mail" checkbox doesn't work

Have you tried it on a newly created account or on an existing account? I have the problem on a newly created account.

I'm not sure what you mean by a new account. I had created the account in that profile a few days ago.

By "new account" I mean that the account was created with version 102.xx, not version 91.xx; but that doesn't seem to be the problem, because:
I got the bug with version 102.1.2 portable. Now I've tried installing the regular (non-portable) 32-bit version 102.1.2 on my test computer, and it works!
So there seems to be a bug with the portable version provided by PortableApps.
Did you also test it with the portable version?

I sent a report to PortableApps.

I only tested with official version. Probable version is maintained by someone else.
