As an example (I have encountered this issue with many e-commerce sites) the
above link shows how chimera currently mis-displays pricing information. I have
no idea how it happens, but if I switch to IE5.2, the pages render perfectly.
Obviously, this is pretty serious as it stops people being able to use chimera
for online shopping at many sites.

fwiw, I don't see anything signifigantly different between
Mozilla/Konqueror/Netscape4 on linux on that page. Reporter, can you explain
exactly what is displayed differently between Chimera vs. IE5.2, when and how?

Attaching screenshots from reporter's e-mail. Reporter, for future reference -
you can add further comments or attach images to a bug report directly, in this
case at <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178616>; attachments using

Probably another site with improperly coded English pound symbols.
Keywords: qawanted
Whiteboard: DUPEME
using
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021107, build 2002110710
(If you're talking about the british pound symbol not showing up) then it works
for me.
Displays perfectly.

The issue is not the British pound symbol - as you can see from the comparitive
screenshots, chimera displays the numeric information after the pound symbol
incorrectly. It seems to be ignoring the first two numbers after the pound
symbol, so '£123.56' becomes '3.56'.
For reference, I just checked it in Mozilla 1.0 on OSX, and that displays
correctly, as IE5.2 and Netscape7 do.

I've attached two new renders from a British Government website - you can see
both rendering errors relating to the Pound symbol and following numbers, and a
strange character appearing further down the page in chimera render only.
Again, displays properly in all other browsers I have tried on OSX - IE5.2,
Netscape 7, Mozilla 1.0/1.0.1, Omniweb 4.1
