Select Bookmarks->Quick Searches->Google Quicksearch and google is searched for the string '%s'. The same thing happens if you select the bookmark from the sidebar or if you type 'google' into the url bar. I cannot see that this would be useful to anybody. However I do realize it is possible to add a keyword to a bookmark whose url does not contain a %s (so this keyword acts as a sort of alias). Suggestion: when loading a bookmark which has a keyword and whose url contains a '%s', but no search term is given by the user a page/message should be displayed explaining how 'quick searches' work.

In a default profile there is a bookmark under "Quick Searches" called "Using Phoenix Quick Searches" which fills exactly this purpose. Marking WONTFIX.

I realize there is such a bookmark. But that still does not help the not so useful behaviour when selecting a quick search from the bookmark menu
