FYI, this patch is linux-specific; it does not (for example) work for FreeBSD,
which has no /etc/init.d directory, and probably not for other *BSD's. It will
however not break FreeBSD.

... and it does not work on AIX either... ;-(

But it works for RedHat/Mandrake/SuSE/Debian Linux (and their derivatives),
Solaris and HP-UX.
The OSes which use *BSD-like startup systems will be handled in a later step (I
am happy with that for now, testing this patch on all SYSV-like platforms above
was pain enougth =:-) ...

Thanks!

I filed two followups to handle the issue for the remaining platforms:
- bug 179910 ("[*BSD-only] RFE: run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST}
on *BSD-platforms if it was not set yet")
- bug 179911 ("RFE: run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST} on AIX if it
was not set yet")
Summary: run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST} if it was not set yet → run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST} if it was not set yet (for SYSV/Unix, Solaris, Linux)

Check into 1.0 branch asap and add fixed1.0.2 to keywords. Needs to be checked
in asap if it's to be in 1.0.2

Checked into 1.0 branch.

Reopening for systems with xprint that don't use /etc/init.d like FreeBSD,

jesup, please read comment #10:
I filed two followups to handle the issue for the remaining platforms:
1. bug 179910 ("[*BSD-only] RFE: run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST}
on *BSD-platforms if it was not set yet") for NetBSD/FreeBSD platform.

    and

2. bug 179911 ("RFE: run-mozilla.sh should populate ${XPSERVERLIST} on AIX if it
was not set yet")

----

Marking bug as FIXED again, follow-ups are bug 179910 for NetBSD/FreeBSD and bug
179911 for AIX.
