The problem is most likely the multitude of malformed comments in the code. Comments cannot have multiple dashes beyond the start/end <!-- -->

Hopefully, getting a complaint from someone at a fellow hardware manufacturer will get their attention... the page is still broken.
Layout has changed, still using strict rendering mode, no visible issues with Mozilla, site is similar with IE5.
