Affected versions

  • 106.0a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: macOS12 , Windows 10, Win11, Ubuntu 22

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch FF.
  2. Go to FF View.
  3. Perform multiple click on the expand/collapse button for Recently Closed or Tab Pickup sections.

Expected result

  • The sections collapse and expand without any text from the description being selected.

Actual result

  • The sections collapse and expand with the first words(and sometimes whole sentence) of the description being selected(highlighted)

Regression range

Priority: -- → P3

This only happens when doubleclicking (ie collapse/expand in quick succession) because doubleclicking also selects words - this works the same way elsewhere in text (also when clicking in whitespace adjacent to words!) and I don't think we should try to address this specifically in Firefox View. Ray, does that sound OK?

Thanks for clarifying that Gijs. If that is the case, let's not action on this.
