Preconditions

• Set screenshots.browser.component.enabled to true

Steps to reproduce

• Go to about:preferences
• Press cmd + shift + s to trigger screenshot tool.

Expected result

• The area selection tool should show up.

Actual result

• The area selection tool is not displayed. Only the save visible / whole page options are shown.

Additional notes

• The area selection tool is displayed only in the following about pages:
  • about:logins
  • about:rights
  • about:robots

Thanks for filing this.
We had a fix for this in bug 1786558 that landed in 106. It's strange that this is still occurring.

I was unable to reproduce on MacOS 12.5.1 and on Window 11 (both updated to today's Nightly).

Have you updated to the most recent Nightly?

:niklas just tried it on today's version of nightly 106.0a1 (2022-09-15) and everything works as expected. I must have been using an outdated version yesterday ! I am closing this bug.
