User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:104.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/104.0
Steps to reproduce:
Using the browser normally, editing a file on Google Docs. It happened a bunch of times but can't understand what triggers it.
I'm using Endeavour OS (Arch Linux based) with Gnome 42.4 on Wayland. Don't know if it's a Gnome bug, a Wayland bug or a Firefox bug, but it only happened when using Firefox so I'm reporting it here.
Actual results:
Can't view live selections when selecting text with the cursor until I release the mouse button. Hover events don't work. When reducing the size of the window it gets cut off.
Expected results:
When opening a new window I can view live selections when selecting text, can't see hover css properties and when resizing I can see the full window

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

May be related to compositor pause we do for hidden windows. Do you still see it?
Thanks.

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.
:stransky, since the bug has recent activity, could you please find another way to get the information or close the bug as INCOMPLETE
if it is not actionable?
For more information, please visit BugBot documentation.
I have since switched to Fedora Linux and I haven't seen the issue again. I tried to reproduce it but everything works as intended.
