Maurizio, can you please try the following and report back:
- Right-click on the link to your Thunderbird, and choose "Run as administrator" from context menu.
- Does your UI get restored with your folders when you run Thunderbird as admin?
- Did you really use the automatic update by Thunderbird? (because "I tried to install the new version..." in summary sounds like manual install)
- Can you please provide a screenshot of your "empty" Thunderbird? (black out any private data, then attach here via
Attach New Filebutton above comment 0) - Have you tried Thunderbird support ?

I tried to start the program as an administrator, but it doesn't work yet.
I used the automatic update, I'm sure!
