Steps to reproduce:

I toggle between different task lists quite often, but currently there is no quick way to do this in Thunderbird. The current method is:

  • Right click the task list and choose "Show Only task_list_name"

Actual results:

It is possible to filter by a specific task list, but to jump back and forth between lists, we need to use the right click to "show only calendar_name" each time we want to look at a different list.

Most task applications like iOS Tasks and Kalendar tasks filter by the selected task list without having to use a context menu to filter.

Expected results:

The existing functionality works well with only a few tasks, but if many tasks and lists are used, it becomes necessary to filter by task list very regularly.

It would be nice to have an option to allow filtering by task list just by selecting the list with a single click. Even if this was just a config variable that could be toggled on, it would greatly help power users.

An alternative could be that we have a list of calendars above the today pane task section that allows us to select a list to filter by. Currently there is no way to filter the today pane tasks by calendar - we can only sort them.
