Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:105.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/105.0

Steps to reproduce:

After clearing Firefox's cache (prefs\privacy\cookies & site data\clear data) , I got this file with Firefox 105.0.1 and also got it with MSEDGE.

https://jpsoft.com/downloads/beta/tcmd29.exe

Actual results:

Firefox got the wrong (3-day old) version of the file.

MSEDGE got the correct version.

Expected results:

Firefox should have gotten the newer (and correct) version of the file.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Downloads Panel' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Downloads Panel

Please provide clear, full, and exact steps to reproduce how something somehow "got" some file.

Without more information there isn't much we can do here. It's unclear why 2 browsers making presumably almost-identical http requests would get different results from the server, short of the server doing so deliberately.
