17925 - [DOGFOOD] [Regression] Get Messages (POP3) gets all messages again.

Get Messages in a POP account will get older messages as well as new.

1.  Launch messenger to profile with POP account.
2.  Open Inbox and click Get Msg.  Provide proper login password.
3.  Take note  of the messages in the Inbox.
    Click Get Msg again.
    Result:  older messages will be retrieved as well as any new messages.
Repeated clicks of the Get Msg button will retrieve another copy of the older
and newer messages.

Found using 1999-11-03-13m11 commercial NT 4.0

(11/3) commercial builds.

I am able to recreate the problem now if I start with a new profile. If I us my
old profile the problem doesn't exist. Funny.

Okay, this is the side effect of what I fixed for bug 16540. If you checked
leave messages on server from the account setup preferences the problem went
away. This also shows two other problems: 1) the default pref should be leave
message on server, 2) apparently downloading all messages doesn't purge all
messages from the server. I'll restore the old behavior and file two new bugs.

Fix checked in, restoring the old behavior not pay attention to the server pref.
Always leave message on server.

Reading jefft's comment above, I tested with the check box for "Leave messages
on server" in both modes (checked and unchecked) then I did a Get Msgs on win98,
mac and linux using builds 19991104-17 and -08, only New msgs were downloaded.
Verified as fixed per restoring old behavior.
