Description:
After installing the latest version of Tree Style Tab (3.9.5) the post install notification panel no longer shows the TST icon.
The icon is still shown after installing the previous version – 3.9.3.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install the latest Tree Style Tab version (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/)
2. After the installation finishes, notice that a post install notification panel is displayed notifying users about extra add-on permissions. The panel does not display the TST icon within it as it did with the previous version - 3.9.3.

Actual:
The post install notification panel no longer shows the TST icon.

Expected:
The post install notification panel should show the TST icon, as with previous add-on versions.

NOTE:
The first attachment shows the notification panel from add-on version 3.9.5, while the second attachment shows the panel from add-on version 3.9.3.

Hi Yuki, can you please check out what's happening here, and if this is an issue with TST or with Firefox itself.

Alex, could you check whether this behavior changed in Firefox, with mozregression?

Maybe due to the change from bug 1711168, as explained in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1711168#c20 ?

I'm very sorry, this is a problem of Tree Style Tab addon itself. It is regressed with the commit https://github.com/piroor/treestyletab/commit/3e17dca9670a68cda97aeb909c51403c368c2500 and fixed with the commit https://github.com/piroor/treestyletab/commit/30e3a2460dfda4fd336ec31d92439ca6e72de481 (not released yet.)

Hello,

I saw that a new version of Tree Style Tab has been released and I checked if this issue has been resolved with the updated version.

With the latest version (3.9.6), the post install notification panel now shows the Tree Style Tab icon. So the issue has been fixed.

Tested on the latest Nightly, Beta and Release under Windows 10 x64 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I’ll be closing the issue as Verified.
