User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 I've been trying Phoenix builds from pre 0.4 and they're all crashing on startup. I've removed my .phoenix dir, and installed in a clean dir, but the problem remains. I briefly see a window with no contents, and then it dissappears. There is no error message given on the commandline. I've tried running with -ProfileManager too, but that crashes aswell. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run ./phoenix in phoenix directory. Actual Results: Phoenix crashed with no error message. Expected Results: Err, not crashed? ;)
You did not specify how new a build you have tried. Have you tried the nightly builds at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/phoenix/nightly/2002-11-09-08-trunk/ ? If not, please try those and report back what happens. Also, do you have some GTK theme installed? This is not a blocker.
Severity: blocker → critical
It was a fairly recent build, but I've just tried that build and it done the same. I did have a gtk theme installed, so I moved the .gtkrc and now it works. And now I've moved it back again it still seems to work. It's my own hack of a theme so maybe something upset it, I'm not sure. Working now though, so I'll set to worksforme. With regards to being a blocker, when I filled the form in, blocker was defined as stopping me using or developing mozilla. Since I couldn't even start it, I assumed this was the correct option. Apologies if it wasn't.
