Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch FF.
  2. Set region to BE (restart)
  3. Set default engine to ebay.
  4. Set region to RO (restart)

Expected result

  • Default search engine is set to google (default for RO) since ebay is not available anymore for the new region
  • Change engine telemetry is recorded

Actual result

  • Default search engine is set to google (default for RO) since ebay is not available anymore for the new region
  • Change engine telemetry is not recorded

We'll have to see what we can do for recording this information on startup. It might be better to look at this after bug 1786324.

There may also be ways that we can look at reducing pending updates, e.g. not waiting as long for system idle before applying updates.
