User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:105.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/105.0
Steps to reproduce:
Opened T-bird 102.3.1 (32-bit) on Win10
Actual results:
Noticed unread mail counts totals 3, Win10 System Tray count is 2.
Expected results:
Unread mail count sum should equal Win10 System Tray count.

Hi Mike, thanks for sharing this. However, there's a misunderstanding here:
Assuming that you are using Thunderbird default settings:
- The numbers in brackets behind folder name show the number of unread messages.
- The number on the task bar icon badge shows the number of new (last fetched/never seen) messages, which can be different.
E.g., first fetch gets 1, then next fetch gets 2. Unread total are 3, but only the last fetch counts for the badge, and that's 2. I think.
So there's no bug here even if the numbers are different.
You can change the badge to show unread (which didn't work correctly in my test):
≡ > Settings > General > Incoming Mails > When new messages arrive > [App icon options...] > Badge app icon with: Count of unread messages
