User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021029 Phoenix/0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021029 Phoenix/0.4 specifically: in the tools->preferences dialog and the privacy menu, the "enable cookies" checkbox doesn't check, nor is visibly disabled. (also, the scrollbars are being weird, they're leaving the handle dot behind.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: the exact order of what i did was: remove phoenix 0.3 binaries run phoenix quit phoenix, remove .phoenix directory restart phoenix get "breeze" (for moz 1.2b) skin from breeze author's website discover after a while (several stops and restarts) that xul(?) is breaking quit phoenix, remove .phoenix and phoenix directories re-extract from tarball, run again, find problems haven't gone away Actual Results: checkboxes don't check, large scrollbars (main window) leave the dot behind, small ones (like the field above) draw it in the left side of the window Expected Results: checkboxes should depress, dots should not be left behind it's specifically a bug to the default phoenix theme -- when i reinstall breeze it's ok.
Works for me with 2002-11-10 on Linux. Please try the latest nightly build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/phoenix/nightly/ before reporting bugs. Also, do you have a file called ~/.gtkrc ? If so, please move it away and see if you can reproduce the bug. Be sure to also extract the new build into a fresh directory, and wipe out your ~/.phoenix (like you seam to have done).
oh, ok, this is interactions between gtk engines and client wrapper engine -- it appears with the gtkstep engine and phoenix in classic skin. arguably this is a bug in gtkstep, but i haven't seen this particular failure mode anywhere else (and mozilla ignores the engine-provided checkbox widget).
Mozilla/Phoenix now obeys the GTK theme for look. It is likely a bug in the theme if something looks wrong. Marking as dupe of bug 175236. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 175236 ***
