This has been happening for a while, and there are lots of similar unconfirmed
bugs reported for PC platform, but not for MacOS, and I can not find a bug that
has been regarded as confirmed. If anybody knows a bug to which this is to be
duped, please do so.
2002111003 trunk for MacOS9.x.
Try to download the URL.
You can assign RealPlayer to open it as a helper app.
Result:RealPlayer launches and the file is opened all right.
However, the downloaded file has an icon either for generic, text, or quicktime
file. The result is usually not fixed to one kind of file type. It seems to
change randomly. I have seen this happen at least with RealPlayer, PDF, and
WindowsMediaPlayer files.

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

I cannot confirm this behaviour in MacOS X with a recent build.
Because we are not working on anything dealing with old Mac since 1.3.1 anymore,
I mark this "WONTFIX".
In case that it reoccurs in MacOS X, please file a new bug.
