Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird keeps checking incoming messages/mails even if all checks are disabled. It happens once in a while with some hours interval
It's pretty annoying to get notifications about new mails when it's mailboxes I only want to check manually
Actual results:
Retrives/check incomming mails on the server even if all checks are disabled
Expected results:
Thunderbird should never connect to the server and check for new mails

You probably have IDLE enabled (it's under Advanced).
Where can I find the IDLE setting?
I haven't checked any setting like that myself so I must be a default setting which shouldn't be checked by default because then the checking interval will be overriden

It is under Account Settings | Server settings | Allow immediate server notifications when new mail arrive
No, it's not checked.. See the attached image in the bug report.. It's the checkbox below the two marked with red..
This must be a bug
To put it in context.. Have a few noreply mails added in Thunderbird and I ONLY want to check dem manually. I don't want thunderbird at any time to check the emails

Confirming for TB 102.6.1 (64-bit), Win10. In spite of all three new message Server Settings unchecked (see my screenshot above), TB still checks, downloads, and alerts for new messages (even after restarting TB).
