I often use the "Copy e-mail address" from the context menu for mailto: links,
and then go paste them into an address book card.. it would be much cooler if
the history address book watched the clipboard for e-mail addresses and then
captured them.. it would also allow you to automatically capture addresses from
other applications... and of course this would be on a pref like all the other
history-capture prefs.

(and lets try to keep the tangent about whether this breaks some unwritten
privacy rule, and focus more on the engineering of how it can be implemented...
if people get all up in arms about it, we can always default the pref to off)

This would be a nice subtlety. Equivalent for the browser would be adding
copied URLs to the URL auto-complete menu -- like bug 18459, but quieter.
