  • 107.0b2

Affected versions

  • 106.0, 107.0b2, 108.0a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms:
    Windows 7, Windows 10, macOS 12, Ubuntu 20

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in to Pixiv.com
  2. Open an image in a new tab.
  3. Save the image using the Save as option.
  4. Save the image again by dragging the image to the downloads panel.

Expected result

  • The saved image in step 4 should be opened without issues.

Actual result

  • After step 4, the image is saved but it cannot be opened (unsupported file format). Examining the image file with a text editor reveals that it is in fact the website's 403 page.

Regression range
This is not a regression since I can reproduce it in Fx70 as well.

Additional notes

  • I cannot reproduce the issue using a random image from google.
  • Similar issue here: 1689600

We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue.

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 109.0 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 111.0a1 (2023-01-19) (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

Notes:

  1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  2. Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
