Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:105.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/105.0

Steps to reproduce:

I've tried to search (<Ctrl+F>) on the following page:
https://proandroiddev.com/what-you-might-not-know-about-the-alertdialog-2bdc55f3d907

After typing "adapter" inside the search field on the bottom of Firefox, the tab crashed.

To reproduce this bug, I installed the latest Firefox update (but the bug occurs since more than a year) and I installed the "Easy Image Blocker" AddOn from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/easy-image-blocker/

Actual results:

After pressing <Ctrl+F> and typing "adapter" inside the search field on the bottom of Firefox, the tab crashed.

This bug exists since more than a year!!!

Expected results:

I want to see the found text on the page.

I couldn't manage to reproduce the issue on the latest Firefox Nightly and Release on Windows 10 x64.

Could you please try if the issue occurs using a new profile, you can find the steps to do that below:
 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Thanks.

Yes, I confirm: The bug is not reproducible.

But after installing a second AddOn, I was able to reproduce it with a clean profile:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/free-download-manager-addon/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search

Flags: needinfo?(nilshoyer.privat)

Managed to reproduce the issue only after installing both addons, I reproduced the issue on macOS 11.6, Windows 10 x64 and on Ubuntu 20.04 x64.
I will try to provide a regression range as soon as possible.
