Bug 196175 changed this behavior, can we make it an option within about:config?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Address Bar

You can set layout.word_select.stop_at_underscore to True in about:config to select only one word with doubleClick. Please let us know if that works for you.
