Steps to reproduce:

I ran Thunderbird 108.0a1 (2022-10-26) on Wayland in Plasma 5.26.1 in a Fedora 37 KDE Plasma installation. I selected Help in the menu bar and then About Daily.

Actual results:

The About Daily screen in Thunderbird showed Checking for updates... and then Daily is up to date each time even though a newer build was available. I ran mozregression --app thunderbird --launch 2022-10-27 which downloaded and started Thunderbird 108.0a1 (2022-10-27) normally. The 108.0a1 (2022-10-27) build is at https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/2022/10/2022-10-27-10-24-48-comm-central/

This problem is similar to Bug 1795167, but it didn't affect Firefox 108.0a1 (2022-10-26) updating to 108.0a1 (2022-10-27). I followed the instructions at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1795167#c1 to get an update log.

The update log looked like that in Bug 1795167 The update link appears to be missing the update. The problem looks like a server-side issue as in Bug 1795167

Expected results:

Thunderbird 108.0a1 (2022-10-26) should show the available update 108.0a1 (2022-10-27) in Help > About Daily and update to it normally.

Nighthly updates are currently disabled for Bug 1797585
