User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/107.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
I had Firefox open with multiple windows containing multiple tabs. NVIDIA GeForce Experience told there is a driver upgrade available. I upgraded.
Actual results:
Screen went black while the driver was being changed to a new driver. Once new driver was available, other application windows redrew themselves. Firefox hanged and all windows were left blank including the minimize, maximize and close buttons. Windows offered to close the unresponsive application. Once I closed it, I can see it sent a report for application hang to Microsoft and you should be able to find it via the Windows Desktop Application program. about:crashes does not show it as a crash.
This is copy from the problem report in control panel. Sorry for the Finnish.

I attach the about:support information.
About the same thing happened on previous driver upgrade as I reported on Bug 656891 comment 76.
Expected results:
Windows should have redrawn and Firefox usage continued.

Setting this to Core > Graphics, if this is not the right component, please move it to a more appropriate one. Thanks!

Thanks for filing. It's going to be hard to build a reproduction case around this.

If it hangs on next upgrade, is there any additinal data I can collect to help locate the cause?
All I can think is checking the sysinternals process explorer if I can find the thread and get stack trace. But there are so many processes and threads.

I upgraded the driver. Had just upgraded Firefox to 107.0. I had not yet visited tabs I had had open (I have about 20 windows, lots of tabs). I started a second profile without plugins and excess tabs.
Problem did not happen this time.
