User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Use Firefox normally for some amount of time (hours/days).
- Go to switch to another tab, or open a new one.
I haven't figured out how to reliably reproduce this, sorry! But it happens regularly.
I've tried deleting my profile, and refreshing Firefox, but the bug keeps coming back. Sometimes it can go for days without happening, sometimes it happens multiple times a day. I haven't noticed any correlation with anything else that is being done by the computer.
Actual results:
Instead of showing the contents of the new tab, the old tab's content stays on screen, the new tab isn't highlighted, and only the window title changes.
Clicking on other tabs is the same: nothing changes. It's like Firefix has hung, but actually things can still be clicked on, they're just not visible. It's like the new tab content is there but not shown, and the old tab content is not hidden.
Changing to another (non-Firefox) window reliably makes the new tab content show properly, and it can be interacted with. Scrolling, however, doesn't work. It's like anything that changes what's shown on screen causes this bug.
Expected results:
The new tab should be switched to correctly.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I've also tried with and without the "Use hardware acceleration when available" setting, and it makes no difference.
I'm now trying with webgl.disabled = true
and will report back on how that goes.

(In reply to Martin Stránský [:stransky] (ni? me) from comment #4)

Both attached above. Thanks!
I set webgl.disabled
back to false
in order to replicate it. Will return it to true
now.
