[Prerequisites]:
- Have the Sponsored tiles via Pocket configured and displayed.
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open the Nightly browser with the profile from the prerequisites.
- Visit the Sponsored Tile via Pocket at least 2 times.
- Open multiple tabs until the impression cap is hit.
- Restart the browser and observe the Top Sites.
[Expected result]:
- There is no history tile for the visited Sponsored Tile via Pocket.
[Actual result]:
- A history tile for the visited Sponsored Tile via pocket is displayed.
[Notes]:
- This behavior is not reproducible if the Sponsored Tile via Pocket is dismissed from the context menu.
- Attached is a screen recording of the issue.

You don't even need step 3.
The Pocket sponsored tiles dedupe with history differently than the original sponsored topsites. Original sponsored topsites remove the history item if it matches a spoc. The Pocket sponsored topsites remove the spoc if it matches a history item. This was just decisions made at the time being different during implementation. Right now it's hard to fix the Pocket dedupe, so we might have to live with it for the time being.
So all that is happening is an item is going into the history enough that it dedupes the Pocket spoc, and the restart updates the page enough to trigger that.
I think this is a valid bug, just not for right now.
