User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open some tabs
  2. Move one tab to the upper side in a fast way and drop it (see attachment)
  3. Let the tab try to automatically allocate

Happens in troubleshoot mode too.

Actual results:

Firefox freezes, then becomes unusable. The only way to close Firefox is killing the process or using external methods (from thumbnail or windows view), since it looks like an UI problem.

System: openSUSE Tumbleweed KDE Plasma 5.26.2

Expected results:

The tab reallocates automatically.

Please try latest nightly:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_Mozilla_binaries

and Mutter compositor:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_different_Wayland_compositor

Thanks.

Hey, I just tried Firefox Nightly 109.0a1 and the problem is still there. I'm using Plasma and KWin compositor in X11. I tried to test using Wayland and, again, KWin but couldn't even make Firefox launch.

I'll try later changing compositor, it's a busy season. I hope if anyone else is having this problem too, comments this.

Can you use Mutter in tested mode?
Thanks.
