User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0
Steps to reproduce:
-
Whenever a website takes over full-screen w/ keyboard access, Firefox shows the "[website] has control" float-down notification window.
-
Without closing the browser, even days later, that same notification box will randomly show up again, despite my long-since having closed that tab
Actual results:
even days later, that same notification box will randomly show up again, despite my long-since having closed that tab
Expected results:
Firefox should realize i closed the tab and cancelled that notification window

Hi, Mark
I tried to reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly 109.0a1 (2022-11-14) using macOS 11.6, but I wasn't able to recreate it. I followed the link adress in the attachment you provided, turned to full-screen, but I couldn't get the notification described.
Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode.
Also a fresh new profile could help.
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
